Join us for our virtual February 2021 Sioux Empire SHRM chapter meeting and HR educational opportunity!   

OSHA Recordkeeping and COVID-19 Overview: 

This presentation will provide a broad discussion of the main requirements of the OSHA recordkeeping standard and define what is a recordable injury or illness.  Employer obligations to protect employees and record work-related cases of COVID-19 will also be covered. 

Presenter John Olaechea is the Compliance Assistance Specialist for OSHA in Region VIII.  He provides outreach and information about safety and health hazards and OSHA policies and regulations to employers, trade associations, unions, other organizations and the public.  Prior to this position, John worked for eight years as an industrial hygienist and compliance officer for the Englewood Area Office of OSHA and has 20 years of experience in the EHS field.  John also served in the United States Peace Corps (Guatemala) for two years and graduated from Wright State University (Ohio) with a degree in environmental health science.

Monthly chapter meetings and HR educational presentations are free for members and $20 for non-members.

This activity has been approved for 1 hour of SHRM and HRCI General continuing education credits.
